Nike x BRDG
Interactive Robotics Installation
Description
I was contracted by BRDG Studios to create an interactive robotics installation for Nike in SoHo, Manhattan. The Universal Robot arms follow customers around the store, showing off the various angles of the LeBron 17
My Role
I was tasked with building a TCP communication layer between each robot and a custom control server. I built the control server using TouchDesigner, OSC, and Python, and integrated a Kinect tracking system.
The system I built moves the robot arms to face patrons walking through the store. When patrons aren't present, I programmed the robot arms to synchronize choreographed "dances" which show off the different angles of the shoe, and draw customers into the store.
